Instructions Xilinx Instruments (Server Version)

JTAG Live V1.1.0.0 now supports the server based Xilinx interface (“Cse Server”) in
addition to the DLL version.

Customers who’ve experienced problems using with Xilinx cables with JTAG
Live in the past may find the server version is more robust.

To use the server version, you must have version 12.1 (or better) of the
Xilinx software installed.

The server should be started manually. If your environment variables are
setup correctly, you can start it by clicking Start > Run and then typing
cse_server in the dialog box. Alternatively you can locate cse_server.exe in
your Xilinx directory and double-click it. It’s as simple as that.

Update: cse_server.exe is found at the Xilinx installation directory ( by default at: C:/Xilinx/12.1/ISE_DS/ISE/bin/nt )
